The Core Three That End Runs

These three show up from the very first levels and decide almost every loss.

1. Conveyor Belt Pressure

The belt only holds a limited number of marbles, and every marble stays on it until it reaches a matching box. Drop out of order and the belt fills with homeless pieces — once it's full, the level ends. Counter: treat every drop as a commitment, never release a marble unless its box is ready, and keep one lane open for strays.

2. Buried Colors

The top tray stacks marbles on top of each other, so the color you need is often buried under other colors. Every marble you move to reach it eats belt space. Counter: open buried colors early, and use the Magnet to pull the exact box you need instead of clearing the stack above it.

3. Elevator Floors

A late mechanic where the visible bottom boxes are only the current floor — clear all 4 boxes and the next floor rises. You can only work with what's in front of you. Counter: favor clearing the current boxes efficiently rather than hoarding colors you can't use yet.

The Common Thread

Every single one of these mechanics punishes the same habit: dropping without a plan. Belt pressure punishes homeless drops, buried colors punish ignoring the stack order, Panels and Gates punish serving the wrong box first. Fix the drop order and all of them get easier at once.

Remember:

The calm surface is the trap. Marble Sort is a sequencing game — the obstacle isn't the belt, it's your order of operations.
