Level 549 is the cross-locked key trap. The Cross-Locked Key Trap on this level hides its critical keys behind opposite-side locks, and the key to beating it is to clear the front row first, then dig into the Surprise Bags in a careful order.

Orange → Purple. The lock won't open without its key.

Marble Sort Level 549 drops you into a board where almost the entire Top Tray is covered by Surprise Bags, hiding the marble colors underneath. You cannot see what you are sorting until you start removing those bags, and the Conveyor Belt below fills up quickly if you make the wrong calls.

The layout has a large central block with a few visible marbles at the bottom center: White, Orange, and Light Blue are sitting out in the open. Above them are Green and Orange blocks, but the rest of the Top Tray is a mystery. On the perimeter, three blue Panels restrict movement: the top center Panel needs 3 Boxes cleared before it opens, while the left and right Panels each require 2 Boxes cleared. Those side Panels are blocking access to the two keys you need.

Marble Sort Level 549 Walkthrough

The Conveyor Belt starts with a four-wide grid. The immediate front row demands Red, Orange, Light Blue, and Orange in that order, left to right. Behind those, you can see a wall of Boxes waiting: Pink, White, Purple, and Dark Blue are lined up in the queue.

The biggest trap here is the White marble cluster sitting fully exposed at the bottom left of the center block. It looks like an easy grab, but there is no White Box in the front row. The White Box is buried behind a Red one. If you drop those White marbles onto the Conveyor Belt now, they will sit there taking up space while you desperately try to find Red marbles hidden inside the Surprise Bags.

How to Beat Marble Sort Level 549 — Step-by-Step

Phase one: Clear the Front Line

  1. Tap the visible Orange marbles at the bottom center of the Top Tray and send them to the two Orange bottom Boxes waiting on the Conveyor Belt.
  2. Next, tap the Light Blue marbles sitting right next to the Orange ones and guide them down.
  3. This clears two bottom Boxes right out of the gate.
  4. Watch the side Panels. Because you cleared two Boxes, the left and right Panels (which started at 2) will drop to 0 and lift up.
  5. Do not touch the White marbles yet. The Conveyor Belt must remain empty for the hidden colors you are about to pull.

Phase two: Crack the Cross-Locks

  1. Now that the side Panels are gone, you can see the keys. The Gold key is on the far left, sitting on a Purple marble. The Purple key is on the far right.
  2. Start tapping the central Surprise Bags to reveal the colors inside. You are specifically hunting for Red marbles to clear the front-left Red Box.
  3. Once the Red Box clears, the Pink and White Boxes behind it slide forward.
  4. Now you can finally tap those exposed White marbles that you left alone earlier. Send them down to clear the White Box.
  5. Work the right side of the Top Tray to free the Purple key. As soon as you tap the marble holding it, the left-side Purple lock shatters.
  6. This reveals a cluster of Dark Blue marbles on the left side. Do not pull them yet. Wait until a Dark Blue bottom Box actually slides to the front of the Conveyor Belt.
  7. Clear the newly arrived Purple Boxes on the belt. This allows you to tap the left-side Purple marbles holding the Gold key.
  8. The Gold key flies across the board and breaks the right-side lock, freeing a massive chunk of Pink marbles.

Phase three: Clear the Final Panels

  1. Dump the newly freed Pink marbles into the Pink bottom Boxes.
  2. Route the Dark Blue marbles from the left side down to the belt.
  3. As these Boxes clear out, the top center Panel will finally lift, revealing the last hidden Light Blue marbles.
  4. Clear out the remaining Surprise Bags to find the Green marbles for the final Green Box.
  5. Keep your clicks methodical. At this stage, the Conveyor Belt is mostly safe, but clicking blindly can still cause a late-game jam if you pull Green before Light Blue is finished. Match the colors strictly front-to-back to finish the board.

Tips & tricks

  • Always clear the front row before touching any other marbles to keep the Conveyor Belt from jamming.
  • When you reveal a new color, check the bottom Box queue to see if it matches the next Box in line before sending it down.
  • Use the Surprise Bags to your advantage: reveal them one by one, and if you see a color that isn't needed yet, leave it for later.

Common mistakes

  • Dropping the White marbles early because they look safe, which clogs the belt while you search for Red.
  • Ignoring the side Panels and wasting moves on the top center Panel before unlocking the keys.
  • Pulling Dark Blue marbles before the matching bottom Box is in the front row, causing a backup.
